Interesting Turn

all_night_owl seems to have become a virtual tales around the fireplace sort of place. Yet again, some great tales being spun, this time by mackiedockie. I'm loving it! For a comm I created on a whim, very late one night, it's going places I never imagined.

When I first started writing fanfic, it was mostly all done on IRC. We'd write each other stories for entertainment. Write a bit, paste it into the channel, everyone would read and comment, and then you'd write a bit more. In the case of what became my Bloodties series, we'd all contribute characters and plots, and fic. It was much fun. This is the closest I've come to that sort of writing comradery for quite a while.

Nin has to work, so I'll be all alone from 330pm on. And since it's summer in Monterey, fireworks are mostly only going to result in coloured fog [g] But I'll watch the concert on PBS like I do every year, and see fireworks on TV.

Just read an excellent Firefly story, 'Enough For Now'. It's Zoe/River, and it's quite lovely. The characterizations are perfect. First Firefly fic I've ever read too! As much as I adore the series, I've never gotten around to reading fanfic for it.

I need to go to bed, I have to work in the morning, but I started writing a new story, a sequel it would seem, to 'Broken Window'. I didn't want to start anything new till I finished 'Pines', but... Anyway, this one is almost done, then I can pick up where I left off, right?
