ithildin: (Methos - Forest)
When a story I'm writing finally clicks on, it pretty much becomes all I think about. Whether actively, or running in the background while I'm working on something else, it's there. Very often, I'll wake up in the morning with it in my thoughts. All consuming, you might say [g] Of course, that doesn't always help in the actual writing! Turning the movie in my head (because it really is just like I'm watching a movie) from visuals to words doesn't always come easy. And I always seem to forget the best bits of dialogue by the time I sit down to write!

Anyone else have similar experiences, or is it just me? And what are your experiences?

Set up the new DVD player tonight. Works great!! I've gone from a bare bones player to one that has so many bells and whistles, I can't keep track of them all. Tried HEX, and it played, tried homemade DVDs and they played, and am now watching 'The Last Sin Eater' that I just got in a few days ago.

Not the best movie. It just never quite seemed to get past the melodrama to let you into what the heart of the film was supposed to be. That being said, there were some really good individual performances. Forgive me for a non Peter squee moment, but it was wonderful seeing Stewart Finlay-McLennan again -- even if he played an utterly nasty piece of work. And I thought he did a great job in this. Not to mention, he's still damn cute [g]

Now for Peter. Can the man act, or what? Absolutely wonderful performance. The emotion he conveyed with his voice was incredible. And the storyline between the Sin Eater and his love was heartbreaking. I would have very much liked to have seen more of that played out.
