ithildin: (Grey's - Seriously)
So let me ask my question of the day: am I the only American who doesn't give a toss about David Beckham and his wife? Because judging by the news coverage they're getting on their arrival here, I feel like I must be.

I have an awareness of who they are, but geez! I can't understand why I need to see them plastered all over my TV. Not to mention the idea that somehow this guy is going to singlehandedly create hordes of American soccer fans just seems very far fetched. I certainly have no sudden burst of desire to suddenly start watching soccer games. But again, maybe it's just me. It very frequently is [g]

(bet you never thought you'd ever read a post about soccer on my LJ!) (chalk it up to Friday the 13th)

Later: deciding that maybe I don't get the subtle sports nuances because I'm a girl, I have polled my male coworkers. Sorry, David, but they don't care either.

They're been cutting stone at the warehouse across from us since 8am this morning. The noise is making me CRAZY! And not just the stone cutting noise, the constant high pitched whistle the stone saw makes when it's running. That's actually worse. I can't even open the front door for air because it's just too loud. I need Methos to come massage my temples or something.

Oh, and being curious, I took a look, and realize I've written over 7000 words in a little over a week. No wonder I feel like I've been writing nonstop. I have been! I'm seriously thinking of not writing tonight, and making icons instead. Or maybe just sitting in a chair not in front of my 'puter and watching DVDs of some sort.

We'll be gone Sat/Sun, so I need to pack and such as well.

I just realized my default icon at the top of the sidebar and my banner look like they're part of the same scene. The angel's looking down at Methos, who's looking up with the sword at this throat.

Yes, I'm amused by the smallest things.

I have my Drambuie and soda (which I just spilt all over myself and the keyboard), I'm listening to music from WWII, I'm about to do my nails, and it's Friday. Despite myself, I have the urge to write. I get like this. and a few weeks from now I'll be lamenting the fact I can't write. Go figure. I have no idea what to do with the rest of my Friday, so give me a holler if you're around.
