ithildin: (Iron Man - Party)
[livejournal.com profile] strangevisitor7 is looking for Iron Man fic recs. I'd start with anything by [livejournal.com profile] amonitrate, but if I had to pick two, I'd choose Sentinel for just sheer depth and a lotta ansgt. On the lighter side, I really enjoyed What Happens In Vegas. There's a few more I remember reading and enjoying by other people, but I need to refind them. The one where they go to Target springs to mind.

So if you have some recs, head over to her place and drop some links.

I listen to Classical music, and I really like it, but I'm not terribly knowledgeable about it. So if you were going to have Tony Stark on your cell, what piece of Mozart music would you have as his ringtone?

Yeah, it's for fic. Isn't everything these days? [g]

Another con 'con', this time in Dallas. Sounds a lot like the Firefly con debacle in CA a year and a half ago.

Amazon sent me an email telling me I might like Iron Man: Beneath the Armor. Can't imagine where they'd get that idea [cough]

So I'm writing. But not the sequel to Practical Applications I'm supposed to be working on. Oh no! Instead, a sequel to Real Friends Buy You In-N-Out (will I ever be able to top that title?). I have issues with this, since there wasn't supposed to be a sequel. Yeah, I say that a lot. But it seems there were burgers and lots of tequila. Not me, them [points] Though I'm thinking tequila might not be a bad idea at this point.

Yes, it is indeed a sequel to Real Friends Buy You In-N-Out. The angst, it called to us. I swear I'm going to try and work on the sequel to Practical Applications next! There will be a third segment to this series, I think it needs some wrapping up and Pepper needs some screen time too :)

Characters: Tony Stark, OC Charlotte Sparrow
Notes: PG15, sequel to Real Friends Buy You In-N-Out. Implied Tony/Pepper over the course of the series.
Summary: Burgers, tequila, and the importance of friendship and simple human touch when you're hurting.

'Echoes the Sea' series summary can be found here.

'Tequila Lullaby'

Charlotte stretched her arm out across the bed, not at all sure where she was. They weren’t her sheets -- her sheets weren’t silk. Oh…right. Tony’s; she was at Tony’s. Memory trickled back. They’d gone for burgers. Tony’d had four, leading her to inquire if his Arc Reactor required beef and cheese for fuel. That had earned her a genuine smile. Then they’d come back here and there had been tequila, lots and lots of tequila. She vaguely remembered playing the piano, Tony throwing out requests that got crazier with each shot of alcohol. )

The sequel: The Currency of Trust
