Kindle Questions

So I'm trying to put books on the Kindle we got mum for Xmas. She loves romances, so I thought I'd get her a Harlequin subscription, and bought a single book as a test. I read through a bunch of stuff and chose the Adobe PDF version since Kindle supports PDF files. Except after I bought it, I found another FAQ that says they can't be read on a Kindle. Is there some sort of conversion program? I know I've read that people put there fanfic on a Kindle, so I'm hoping :)

Whiney Me

Haven't posted much since I'm afraid if I do, it'll just be whiny. Work continues to stress me out, and the pain in my hips and joints has been really bad lately, along with the whole breathing thing. See what I mean? I've been distracting myself by picking out Xmas gifts for the family and napping with the kitties. I kinda sorta want to write, but fail to generate any enthusiasm for doing so. It all seems very distant and detached lately. Glenn still hasn't found a job, mum's now been cut back to one day, but I try not to worry. But it's hard. I'm a worrier. But I am trying to count all the good things, and there are many. I shall endeavor to be less whiny and more social in future.
