This was a good one!



The Dan and Connie scenes were brilliant! There was some sizzle there.

As always, Dan just kept me glued to the screen -- and laughing.

Our Mr. Clifford really does care about his patients.

Absolute hoot when he and Elliott high-fived each other. And the look on Connie's face!

Donna's a moron, but at least she wasn't being malicious -- just stupid.

What's with this new nurse?

And why was Jaq running around like a scared bunny?

Chrissie can't actually believe Sam's having sex with a fourteen year old, can she? Or was she just being vindictive?

I think what I like a lot in this series is the strong female characters Dan interacts with, like Jac, Lola, and Connie. It challenges PW as Dan to really hold his own against them. I'm hoping the writers will bring in a strong male lead (or else give one of the guys some balls!) for Dan to clash with. HC really is starting to look like a hen house.

You know, I hadn't really thought of that, but now you've put the thought in my head, you're right. A lot of strong female characters, but not a lot on the guy side. Hmmm!

And I don't think Chrissie was vindictive. I think Sam's an idiot for getting involved with Jade. You know it's going to lead to sex sooner or later.

I think Chrissie wanted give the relationship a try, but Sam's now got three stikes against him: Fathering Connie's baby, getting involved with Jade, and letting Chrissie find out about both of these. Not to mention he's an idiot.

I'm confused by the number of new characters recently. They killed off the girls (Gina & Tricia) and the lads ran off to the tropics (Ric & Abra), but only one of those was a nurse - the rest were consultants or registrars. In comes one new consultant, an SHO, a nurse and now possibly another nurse?? Patsy Kensit at that. Very strange. Last I saw of her she was a vindictive money-grabbing cow on Emmerdale, and while I know actors don't like to get stuck in a rut this character seems very tame so far - maybe someone in Dubai applied thumbscrews?

Re the lack of strong males, I was hoping that Mark might get some more grrr time now that he's a consultant nurse, but so far all we've had was that clash with the anaesthetist a few weeks back.

On a vaguely related note, I know that hiring Maddie was a nice plot thing that may bear fruit one day, but gah!! There is so much bloody competition for SHO positions these days - the chances of her just following Clifford from one hospital to the next are minute. Nurses we are short of, doctors - not so much. In fact I see a suspicious lack of immigrant nurses on Holby's staff.. most NHS hospitals have at least a couple of each ward. (must stop rambling..)

Letting Chrissie find out on her own is definitely the major boo-boo against Sam. He doesn't seem all that bad, just hoping that all the bad things will clear themselves up before recognising the trouble he's already in.

He said his birthday's coming up, didn't he? Maybe we should send him a shovel :)
