Mellow

Knocking wood here, but hoping it's a mellow day at work. So far so good! I have a bacon and egg biscuit from Del Taco and a cup of tea.

 

So, let's get some comments going for a Friday. Can be random or informative. Whatever strikes your fancy.  And if you're one of the many new friends around here, and we've never spoken, please tell me a bit about yourself and what brings you here. Not required, just like meeting new people!

It's a bank holiday weekend in Ireland - whoo hoo! The weather is a bit iffy here but if it improves I might have an 'adventure' this weekend and go to a beach/take a trek through the woods. I'm keeping it simple, though, as next weekend I'm flying out to New York for a family get together (It's my Nana's 100th Birthday!)

On the geeky side of things - are you watching Continuum? Please say you're watching continuum :-P

On a plane en route to Orlando, Florida, to visit family, Walt Disney World, and Legoland.

We're leaving for two days to visit some friends in our nation's capital. One of said friends is driving here, picking us up, and then driving all the way there....to be repeated on Sunday.

As Starhubby likes to say to this particular friend: "Wow, you must be, like, a friend or something!" ;)

And then Phil opened his eyes to see four anxious faces looking back at him.

"Fury told us you were dead," Tony stated.

Oh, it was too early or too late to deal with Tony yet...
He looked for Pepper but she wasn't there. He'd have to get Tasha or Clint to get him out. Still, there was a softness to his face that was disconcerting. Had Tony cared?

My kids are off to the county fair with their grandmother so I'm puttering around with my fics--the Sherlock one and the Loki one--and contemplating making some loaves of French bread in the lovely quiet of the afternoon.

It's so easy to get distracted by fanart on the Internet, really!

went to look at two houses after work. one was downright scary. i don't know how people could be living there.

the second one, LOVED. been on the market for 403 days, so i am putting together a low offer, just to see if i can get it for that. if not, then maybe it will open up some back and forth.

oh and there's 3 cars in the yard, covered by tarps. i think one of them is a dodge charger of old. and if i were collecting cars, and i had a dodge charger, then one of the others (that my uncle thought might be a camaro) could very well be, my dream car... an early 70's olds...

We had a new immigrant family over for lunch - their eldest is in K's class - so i made a yummy bacon & egg pie :)
