This is an icon of my oldest OC, Triona (named after my one of favourite singers, Triona Ni Dhomhnaill, in case you ever wondered)(not that my Triona can sing -- that I know of at least!). A few months back, I was curious about the concept of authours who cast celebrities as the visual for their OCs. After a few conversations with

jinxed_wood, I decided to give it a whirl. I wasn't too successful. Nothing looked that much like my mental image. However, Triona in some ways has reminded me personality wise of Lucy Muir, and Gene Tierny, who played her in the movie, is a fave actress of mine, so I went looking for likely photos of her. I settled on this shot because it seemed the least dated. Then I tinkered with it. It still isn't a lot like my mental image, but it works, and I was pleased at the way the icon came out.
