Spring Fling

I have the urge to redecorate around here. From the ground up -- new background, colours, headers. Even a banner! Are banners hard to place in LJ? I've read many posts over the last year about having trouble with them.

I'll start tinkering when I get home tonight.

It depends on the layout template you use! Some need a whole page of coding, while others are happy with an url :-)

Nah, banners are easy. I've got a slick little tutorial that comes complete with cut & paste code when you're ready. :)

Question: does LJ automatically constrain the size of the banner, or do I need to size it correctly on my end?

The coding has a place where you plug in the dimensions so that it will display properly.
