ithildin: (Forever Knight - Forever)
It was really good! I need to ponder since I'm really sleepy though. But feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments. and I'll pick it up tomorrow.

I'm wondering if she really is a vampire anymore? Did what happen in the fire change her somehow? The other niggling thought I had, was that Josef was hiding something. Would he stand back and let her mess with Mick? We still know so little of the dynamics between the vampire characters. I can't wait to see where they go with this next.

And I had thought Beth had remembered Mick from when she was a child. I was surprised to find out she hadn't.

This show really has gotten so much better! I'm actually looking forward to it each week now :)

It was an excellent episode! Boy, Coraline sure knows how to play Mick - he unraveled faster than any of my "experimental" knittings...

I thought it was good. I am a bit curious as to how Coraline was able to fool both Mick and Josef into believing she was human.

that is the big mystery, isn't it.
perhaps the only mystery in this episode.
I like it a lot right up to the end, when she uncovered the tatoo I lost all respect for it.

I was having some flashbacks to your Oaths story, wondering if it was Coraline reincarnated :)

The whole obsession thing reminded me so much of Nick, however.

I was wondering about the reincarnation angle myself. Though she'd have to be younger than Beth in that case, and she looked older. Did they mention her birth year?

Not sure they did but I think Beth said that she graduated from somewhere (can't remember if it was high school or college) in 2000.

One thought that came up on another LJ was that Coraline was injecting herself with the mortal blood from the real Morgan. That would be why she had the wound on her arm and why she smelled mortal.

They just called people and proved there really was a Morgan but i don't think Beth or Mick got a picture to confirm.

Really loving this show and not just because Mick is hot- it gets better every week.

Oooh! I like that idea!

I'm afraid Mick doesn't do a thing for me, but I like the show anyway [g]

Mick is definitely on my TV boy friends list but i would watch this show anyway. I love Vampire shows heck Angel and Nick never "did it" for me but I loved their shows.

I think that the woman should not have been his ex. Josef says to Mick that at some point, Mick needs to come to terms with his vampirism. This episode would have been a good 'stage setter' for that since the viewer could see how out of control Mick acted. And, if the girl was just a girl, the viewer was getting the "whoa, Mick's got some serious issues there". So, IMO, the story should have ended with Mick going to Joseph and saying "I'd like to talk with you". And then, the episode could have ended with the shutting of Joseph's door or something like that.

By keeping the ex as the ex, Mick can stay in denial of coming to terms with his vampire self because hey, in this instance, even though he acted wildly, he was 'right' in the end.

I've seen many storylines like the one they did last night with other vampires series but if they did it without the last scene, that would have really been original.

I also didn't like the fact that the ex was now human since that idea does set the stage for Mick to be able to possibly become human again. And philosophically, I dislike the idea of vampire = bad, human = good, because not all vamps are bad and not all humans are good.

Also, that Beth remembering thing keeps going back and forth (she remembers, she forgets). You are correct. She should have remembered it. But I think the writers are unsure of that idea so they keep changing it.

PS--Sorry I'm so wordy/ranty but that episode bothered me for those things.
