ithildin: (Helm - Shoot Low)
Hope everyone is having/had a good Thanksgiving. Nin just left for work, and I'm fixing to to tandem view the QoS episode 'Runaways' with [livejournal.com profile] pat_t.

Then I'll make tart crust.

Yeah, poor thing. I always wondered how he would finally find out who she really was. The character was a little too broody -- Helm, I mean -- so it would have been nice to see him be a little happy if even only once!

I'm going to watch Dragons now. I'm not sure I ever saw that one before. The synopsis doens't ring a bell.

Sorry, I was washing dishes. Back now. Dragon is *so* good. I'll watch it too.

We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving. Bobby (the 21 year old) actually cooked the entire dinner start to finish with no help at all except for advice when he asked for it. Turkey turned out perfect, mashed potatoes slightly lumpy but given he's never mashed potatoes before I thought he did great. Gravy needs work - wasn't thick enough and not enough flavor. Next time I'll point him the way a bit. Like the potatoes, he's never made gravy before. :-)

Still, given the monumental task he did just wonderful! All his idea to cook dinner, too. :-)

Now I've watched it, I don't think I ever saw it before. Kind of cool to see something new!

I'm so in love with Montoya at this point [sigh] [g]

The other amusing thing for me is how often Monterey is mentioned. Actually, the old part of the city is fairly intact, and I can quite imagine what it must have been like in 1817. When I worked downtown, I used to take my lunch in the gardens off the central plaza. It had wisteria that must have been planted two centuries ago.

I adore Montoya, but I adore Robert Helm more. Something about that man's voice, eyes, nose, mouth, hands, those tight pants and his butt.... You get the picture.

LOL! Well, yeah, it's Peter. and from that aspect, I love him. But if another actor had played Helm, I would spend all his scenes wanting to smack him upside the head [g] Way too broody for my taste. Reminds me of Duncan [weg] Ugh. Now, I would have like to have seen Peter play Montoya! Imagine the possibilities!
