Puttering About

I'm feeling incredibly lazy. I kinda sorta want to write, but can't work up that last burst of energy needed. I've done a few puttery things like catch up with posting fic to my IJ, filling out the cellphone rebate forms, ordering a birthday present for my friend's daughter, and a little tidying up. But other than that...

Oh, before I forget, I read an awesome story last night. It's an Atlantis/Gilmore Girls xover, and it rocks. The premise is that Rory is Rodney's daughter. It's a WIP, and I can't wait for the next part. It's called Physics of the Spin by mhalachaiswords and you can find the first part here (there are ten parts so far).

So what's everyone else up to?

PPS--I don't get Columbus Day off and everyone around me does (or seems to). It's empty going to work but I like it since it shortens my commute.

We don't get that one either [g] We get New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, and Xmas

that's sort of why I stay in education (besides enjoying teaching). It gives me the flexibility that I need to take care of an elderly parent.

I've got Nin reading it now, and we were discussing it this afternoon, when I suddenly realized that Emily and Rodney meeting would be... cataclysmic! Can you imagine? Weel, yes, I'm sure you can [g]

First, though, Rodney has to survive meeting Rory. Then Lorelai. And then his sister, once she learns that Rodney fathered a child at 15. (Do they start counting that once the child is born, or when conception occurs? I've never been able to figure that out.)

Poor Rodney isn't going to have an easy time of it.
