'Starting on a Journey'

Thanks to killabeez I found a 'Last Samurai' vid today. The music, the way the scenes flow into each other, the mood, it's truly exquisite. I got more than a little choked up watching it. As you know, I'm a huge Ken Watanabe fan, so this was utterly perfect! It's virtually Tom Cruise free, except for some very brief flashes. If you liked the "The Samurai" ep of Highlander, I think you may like "Starting on a Journey". Thanks, Killa!

I loved The Last Samurai!! (I despise Tom Cruise.) That film was so rich and beautiful! Can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

Watching the vid, I was really drawn to his eyes. I once wrote a character in a fic that I said had eyes the colour of Darjeeling tea, and I realized he really does. A sort of Topaz brown. [le sigh]
