Guest have left, Nin's at work and I'm all by my lonesome. And now feeling oddly depressed. The long foggy cold day hasn't helped, I'm sure. Maybe will watch mindless television to distract self.

now feeling oddly depressed.

I know that feeling. It hit me all of the sudden myself.

I hate it when depression just comes in and whacks you upside the head. It sucks. [HUGS]

How do you feel about rain? If I'm inside, I don't find it at all depressing. Outside, it depends. Fog, though...no thanks.

How'd the mindless tv go?

Rain's fine.

What'd you do then?

Glad you're okay with rain; does it do that a lot at the northern place?

I puttered :)

Okay! Not meaning to be a nag, just a little worried, since I sent it from work...

I read it over and enjoyed it, but just wasn't in the mental place to beta. Will work on it this week.

Just enough to know you enjoyed it. I know the tooth hurts--sorry for the pun--and when you feel crappy it's hard to do much of anything.

Your tooth is contagious, btw. My permanent bridge is starting to ache.

I am feeling like I might actually finish this thing. It feels to me like it's finally coming together.

It's a great story.

Puttered? Makes me think putt-putt, which reminds me of mini golf or a euphamism for flatulance. [eg] Me? Immature? Am not! :-P

So, now I've let my inner child run around a bit, then roped 'er back in, I shall ask:

Did the puttering accomplish anything, or do I need to go look up putter?

I'm not sure puttering is actually supposed to accomplish anything.

Then I must be off to look it up!

[goes to other screen, then returns]

It says:
1. to busy or occupy oneself in a leisurely, casual, or ineffective manner: to putter in the garden.
2. to move or go in a specified manner with ineffective action or little energy or purpose: to putter about the house on a rainy day.
3. to move or go slowly or aimlessly; loiter.
4. puttering or ineffective action; dawdling.
5. putter away, to spend or fill in a random, inconsequential, or unproductive way; fritter away; waste: We puttered the morning away.

That sound about right?
