A coworker just asked me if we went to see the new Clone Wars movie, and he was treated to a rant about Lucas and how he's not getting another dime from me ever. I told him I'm done, had it, never again, not happening!

I think I scared him [g] Hell hath no fury and all that.

*hides behind desk* Um, sorry? I did give many dimes to Mr. Lucas this week -- and went to see it. Midnight screening, because I had to be somewhere very early that next morning, and it was easier not to sleep . . .

Not bad -- but not great either. Of course, I'm just biased because there was lots of Anakin and not much Obi-wan, and yeah, whoever said animated Obi is not as good as live Obi hit it right on the spot. *goes back to contemplate cute Jedi*

*Makes a whimpery noise.* I could forgive him so much if he'd just fucking let me buy the original trilogy in its original theatrical release form as a single DVD box set with no bells and whistles, no having to buy one of his "improved" versions of the trilogy with it. *Nods.* I was younger, young enough I enjoyed the ewoks resemblance to teddy bears, and still have my 15" stuffed Wicket W. Ewok. Lucas hasn't just butchered "some movies" he's butchered my childhood.

I wrote a huge amount of SWars fanfiction. Just gigantic amounts. Hated TESB. Wasn't terribly fond of ROJ.

And then Indiana Jones was the same way... 1 good, 2 stunk, 3 eh. I think there might be a pattern here.

I'm sorry! Really! But I sat down and looked at my budget and realized that I'd got in over my head this year and I had to pull back.

I've already paid for the Canada trip, so I can't cancel it, and this just falls too close to that.
