pen37 (anything to stop staring at Word in a vain attempt to write)
Ask me about a pairing I have written (or haven't and you think I should write) and I will give you five facts about them or a ficlet or a song that is CLEARLY THEIR SONG or what they order from the Chinese place down the street, etc, etc.
My pairings, as far as I can recall: Triona MacAlpine/Methos, Triona/Lucien LaCroix, Triona/Methos/LaCroix, Emily Scott/Methos, Annabeth Avery/Methos(Dan Clifford), Tony Stark/Pepper Potts, Charlotte Black/Jack Sparrow, Charlotte/Methos, Charlotte/Chris Larabee, Ezra Standish/Amanda (Okay, technically, I haven't written this pairing yet, but it's a part of the series I share with Casey, so it's a paring in my mind!), Isabelle Helm/Luis Montoya (another possible pairing), Robert Helm/Tessa Alvarado, Vin Tanner/Cecily Desjardins.
I think that covers it.

Isabelle slipped her hand into her husband’s as they looked across the vineyards from the rise just behind the house. “It is a new world.”
Glancing down at her, Luis smiled. “Indeed it is, querida.”
“Did you ever think, all those years ago, that this was possible?”
“But of course; there was a never a doubt that you would be mine,” he told her, his blue eyes glinting with humour.
Sighing dramatically, she shook her head. “I am being serious, Luis!”
“As am I, my love!” he said, placing a hand against his heart.
Smiling fondly, she reached up, brushing her lips against his, then said, “No longer British or Spaniard, but Americans. A new future for our grandchildren, and with that future, so many possibilities.” She leaned her head against his shoulder, remembering how they had started that evening in Santa Elena’s town square.
“And for us,” he reminded her.
“And for us.”
“It was a long road, but one I have no regrets traveling.” He squeezed her hand. “I will always walk beside you, Isabella Catalina.”
“And I shall always love you, Luis.”

Lacing her hands around the back of his neck, she looked up into his eyes. “It’s going to be fine.”
“I know what teenage boys are like!”
“Because you are one,” she responded dryly.
He sputtered a bit, but didn’t dispute her statement. “I think you’re missing the point here.”
“And I think you should show me just what teenage boys are like,” she said breathily, a smile tickling her lips.
His eyebrows rose and his brown eyes sparkled. “Is that right?”
“Oh yeah.”
“I could never say no to you.”

Chris pulled her against him, the cool skin of her back pressing into the warmth of his chest. “What is it?” he asked quietly, the dark of the predawn embracing them like a cloak.
Charlotte leaned against him, sighing softly as his arms came around her waist to hold her tight. “Nights like these, I miss the sound of the sea.”
“Nights like these?”
“When it’s so quiet, I can hear the Rio Grande; the sound of water, but not the one I wish to hear.”
“We could leave—“ he began.
Shaking her head, she turned in his arms. “This is where you belong, Chris. I will not take you away until there is no other choice. That time will soon be upon me, but not quite yet.”
He looked down into her beloved face, ageless; knowing every plane, every expression. A few more years and then it would be time to move on. Chris knew that was the inevitable future when he married her; an Immortal could not long tarry in one place. He also knew it had been too long already, but Charlotte refused to pull him from this life of his. From his brothers, from the graves of his wife and son, from the people and the land that had let him live again.
“When it is time, I’ll go with you, you know that.”
“I do. There has never been a doubt in my heart.”
Nodding, he stroked her hair. “And on nights like these, we’ll walk down to the shore, and the sound of the water will be the one you’ve missed all these years.”
“We shall do it together.” She kissed him then, their lips parting, savouring the love they shared.

Startled, Vin just about hit his thumb with the hammer he was using to fix the latch on the vegetable garden gate. While Chris and Charlotte were on their honeymoon, Vin was pitching in with Ezra to help Cecily with the children and running the ranch.
Looking over his shoulder, he saw Penny, Charlotte’s eleven-year-old, looking up at him with clear green eyes. Grinning, he replied, “Reckon I might be, chili pepper.”
She walked over to the fence and leaned against it. Twirling the end of one long red braid absently in her fingers, she pondered. “Are you going to court her?”
“Well now, that would be between me and yer sister.” He tweaked her nose, making her giggle.
“Papa says you’d be a damned fool not to,” she informed him firmly, as if that solved the matter.
Vin choked back laughter, attempting to look stern. “Now there, Penny, pretty sure neither your mama nor Chris would approve of that sort of language. And ain’t good manners to be eavesdropping on folks.”
“Weren’t eavesdropping,” she protested. “He said it when I was there.”
He didn’t know what to say to that. Damn Larabee for his big mouth.
“I think you should too. If you married Cecily, then you’d be my brother, and I’d like that. So would Patrick,” she said of her twin.
“That’s one of the nicest things anyone’s ever said to me, chili pepper,” Vin told her sincerely, a lump in his throat.
Penny threw her arms around his waist. “I love you, Uncle Vin.”
“Love you too, Penney gal.”
