ithildin: (Japan - Camelias & Titmouse)
There's a little bird I first noticed back in the late fall that would come to the feeder - roly poly little guy -- and I came to realize he was missing part of the top of his beak. The feeder makes it possible for him to get under the seed and eat it, and boy, does he eat! He also has some sort of tumour on his back. I watched for him every day, happy to see him when he showed up. Well, I hadn't seen him in at least six weeks, and figured the winter had got him. I was so glad to look out at the feeder just now and see his funky little profile! He's still roly-poly and still eating up a storm.

aw our bird feeders fell down from the wind and broke so we need new ones. We had a seed one and a suet cake one...actually the suet cake one was attacked by squirrels (I assume) after they fell off the balcony in the backyard I went and got them but set them on the front porch a few days later both were about 5 feet away and the suet cake one had been broken into and was missing the entire cake haha I'd gotten that one for free so if they aren't expensive I'll buy another. But I loved watching the birds come to feed there, none of the ones I saw were particularly distinguishable though! The little guy you have sounds cute, try and get a picture of him
