Because it's a long weekend, I actually had time to hang out on the internet, post on LJ, reply to comments, post fic, but since it's a long weekend, no one is around.

In other news, having your birthday in the summer sucks. It's actually on a Friday this year, so I thought, hey, let's actually go somewhere! Except everyone is on summer vacation and filling up the places I want to go to. So I guess I'll end up going to work as per usual.

Well, I'm around and wishing we have a long weekend here, too:). My deskmate in school has birthday in summer, so I know it sucks:(. But let me tell you, birthday on the last week of December isn't much better - for years I spent it preparing for the exams or actually having them...

I think I've found a cabin near Mesa Verde. Have been wanting to go there for ages! If it works out, should be fun.

My birthday is August 19, a Thursday this year. That isn't too bad, close enough to the weekend that my parents and I can do something then and even though I have to go to work that morning, they love any excuse for food so I am sure they'll do something for it

Another July b-day huh? I hope you can get the time off and go away for the weekend, that'd be nice.

A rather huge portion of my family is either born in July or March, we have a joint party during the month to celebrate everyone, only children get presents (sucks), then nada. My b-day is in March, so I've gotten used to not much for years, especially when I lived away from home, now days I look forward to a dinner with immediate family, and usually one with my grandma.
