Just vacuumed and washed my bedroom and bathroom floor. Also, did you know that tumbleweeds make an excellent base for which to place area rugs for hosing down? Well, they do! Very firm and bouncy. Am also washing bedding and generally tidying up.

[Laughs] And now I have this image of you pointing a hose at the rugs, with Ennio Morricones's For a Few Dollars More (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLXQltR7vUQ) playing in the background :-P
Dad and mom owned a home, including 1/3 acre, on a mesa overlooking a valley area in San Diego and during Santa Ana winds, they would blow through the large back yard. It drove the dog totally nuts. He would stand at the patio door and stare out, keep barking and turning around look at us like "Aren't you going to do anything about THIS?" I always laughed because it was so dumb. When I say huge, I mean huge.
and you know what else can be pretty big? Century cactus, which feature poisonous tips on end of their leaves. One time mom was working around one and even though she had gloves on, her hand was injured by one of the 'needles'. The swelling started immediately and even though we tried everything at home, we needed to take a trip to the ER.
You are so much more domestic than I am today. I was going to vacum, sweep and mop, but I decided to work out and watch tv instead. The house will still be here tomorrow. Can do a bit before I go to bed in the morning.
Good for you! Glad someone has energy today. I'm going to have to look up tumbleweed and discover the genus and specie name, you got me curious. I think in grows in SE Oregon, but not around here.
