My 'fic to write' list grows ever longer. I haven't decided if the setting is Old West, or modern day -- both versions I like equally well. Charlotte's first husband, Alejandro de la Fuente, was killed in a duel, except turns out the man who killed him was immortal and Charlotte runs into him again in the future. It has many possibilities.

Hmm, now the question becomes, did the Immortal kill her husband to get to pre-Immortal Charlotte?

No, not really, though he'd intended to keep an eye on her, but she was inconveniently captured by pirates on the trip back to Spain [g] He's just one of those noblemen who was known for his skill with a sword and he liked to duel, and kill.

I've just remembered, her husband had daughters right?
What ever happened to them?
