Sequels - I has em. I've started writing and posting the sequel to Practical Applications. Now, PA was probably one of the most popular things I've ever written, and while I know Iron Man isn't the bright shiny new fandom it was when I wrote the first one, I hope you'll still enjoy the sequel. You can find the first part here. Yes, yes, I am unashamedly pimping out my own fic [g] Stories need readers or they end up on the fic version of the Island of Misfit Toys, don't you know.

Anyone purchase any of the BlueRay versions of Highlander yet? I'm curious, since the quality of the original DVDs was so bad, if the BlueRay is any improvement other than marginal. Not planning on buying them, I don't even have a BlueRay player, but I have been wondering.

And that leads to.... cat litter! I have a litter box in my en suite bathroom for the cats that mostly live in my room, and the ones who visit. And now there's more of them, I've been trying different litters. I really liked the appeal of clumping litter, but it's so dangerous to kitties I won't use it. But I have been trying the different chemical free clumping litters with a variety of success. So far, the winner is Worlds Best Cat Litter Multiple Cat. And it works really well in the litter box I got that's for clumping litter - I was skeptical about the box initially, but wow!! It really works.

I usually just use the Tidy Cat multiple cat litter although I only have 2 kitties.

I've heard the Blu Ray discs are much improved. Very sharp picture. Valoise just posted this today:

I can't do clay litter - wrecks my asthma. This current stuff is wheat.

Thanks for the link. Seems to be about vids on the DVDs, but not anything abut the DVDs themselves. I'll look and see if she's posted anything in the past about the quality. I wouldn't mind in the future, if they ever do a Methos set, maybe getting those if the improvement is worth it. Otherwise, my regular old DVDs will be sufficient [g]

I've been so looking forward to the Blu Ray HL having closed captioning. (On DVD, the first two seasons don't have captions.) I also don't have a Blu Ray player, but I will consider it for those captions...

The box really works? I hate cleaning the litter - and have heard about so many problems with the self-cleaning electric ones. I know I'm bad about cleaning - to the kitties' dismay :)

It really does. It's not electric either.

I'm going to order one next month. Getting shots/grooming for cats this month. Oh, and did realize it wasn't electric - I had looked at the electric ones and just worried about them too much, especially given how skittish Honey is about everything [g]. Went to PetCo, and they had one, but I want to get the large size, since Ember's a bit... fluffy. Thanks for info :)

As a primarily dog-owner throughout my life thus far, I am amused & slightly boggled at the variety of ways to deal with, er, cat crap. {grin, snicker} My general method with the dogs is to point 'em to the backyard & watch where I step thereafter! {grin}

I'm glad you've found something that works well! {still shaking my head amusedly.}

Yeah, I'm amazed at all the options and doohickeys they come up with too. Didn't matter as much till I had to sleep in the same room with the box.

Yeah, dogs always went outside and up until the cats I have now, we always had indoor/outdoor kitties and never dealt with litter boxes. I'd go back to that, except there are a lot more strange dogs around here now, plus if I get off disability and get a job, I'll probably end up in an apartment and I'd hate to have to curtail their freedom. Plus this way I don't have to worry about fleas and ticks :)

I think my fic always ends up on the fic version of The Island of Misfit Toys. *Sigh*

But I've also been wondering about the Blu-Ray of Highlander. Heck, I still need the rest of the DVDs.

Maybe we need a comm for that [g]

I have all of the series on regular DVD, so the new versions would have to be pretty damn awesome for me to get them!
