Well That's Useless

We got the Bluray player yesterday and while I bought it becuase it was cheap and I had a gift card to use, a nice bonus was that it had a USB in. I figured I could let my mum use my current DVD player so I could just put shows on the flash drive for her to watch if this new player had one as well. No dice. All it 'plays' are photos! What bloody use is that? So now I'll have to keep both players in here. Now I know when I'm ready to buy a decent Bluray player that just because it says USB doesn't mean it's good for anything! Oh, and Dejla, it does not do PAL, though there are hacks out there, but I think I'll just wait till I upgrade.

:( Sorry to hear that. I just got myself a cheap DVD player after my previous one finally bit the dust, and this one has a USB port as well. Haven't tried playing anything off it yet, though, so don't know if I got the same thing.

I'd like to get a Bluray player sometime, but it's not worth it since no place here sells Bluray discs, and the ones I could buy online won't ship to my location. I hate georestrictions. (>_<)

I resisted bluray, and there was no use having one till I had a TV set that could handle it, but it seems that to get any of the extras these days, you have to to give in.
