Subscription Thingie

I'd read about it, but didn't realize the LJ subscription/notification thing had gone live. I've been tinkering with some of the options, but haven't tried tracking a comment thread yet. I'm reserving judgment till I learn more about exactly how it all works.

I'm giving it a trial run by tracking all new posts to crossing_lostrp overnight. It might make keeping up easier.. or it could just make my inbox overflow!

I need to pick a comment thread to watch, but I think I'll take the message center option as opposed having them emailed. Assuming that is an option of course.

What's the difference in tracking a thread and just getting comments emailed to you?

My understanding is that you can track a comment thread on somoeone else's LJ, not just comments that were replies to your comment specifically. The track option in the comment field gives you one set of options, and the track option on another users user info page gives you another set, and the track function on a post yet another. I'm still looking it all over.
