Polls

It's interesting, when you do a poll, and look at the participants. The usual suspects, of course [waves], but also a lot of people I haven't heard from in a while, plus a fair number I don't know at all and I wonder where they come from [g]

Leads me to believe I should perhaps do fic commenting via poll LOL - kinda like AO3's 'kudos' function.

I should probably also put up a poll as to whether I'll get bored with the smackdown long before the ten days are up. A betting poll, if you like. I shall try and maintain my interest in the whole thing.

I'm still rather ambivalent about the Kudos feature. I've comforted myself that it's better than no comment at all. But it still feels more like an 'I was here' sticker than positive feedback. My favorite part of comments is when people tell me one specific thing they liked about my story!

I think I've gotten 3 comments total over there, so I see it as better than a sharp stick in the eye, I guess :)

I'm surprised when people who aren't even on the flist find there way to the poll - i wonder how they found it.

I think I may try to incorporate a poll in every post from now on. People love polls!!

I think the polls are just so quick and easy and you really don't have to *say* anything. So, if you're doing a hit and miss on your flist, you can jump in, jump out and no fuss *g*.

I love polls too and do them.
