I only have a vague idea of what's new on TV this fall. Anything out there you're going to watch?

Hmm...brain fail...

lol

I'll probably post on my journal as they come up. Oh, I did watch The Ringer with Ioan and Sarah Michelle Gellar. It's not amazing but I think it'll fulfill my soap withdrawls. I saw a few other shows but they're aren't worth mentioning.

Tonight, I watched Star Wars: The Clone Wars which isn't new but is always awesome.

I didn't even realize she had a show on. I remember hearing 'Ringer', but thought it was an upcoming movie.

Nope, weekly drama/soap on the CW, just started last week.

I was going to say that I'm watching Ringer too. The pilot came on this week. Not sure yet if I will be pulled in or not.

I'll have to check IMDB and see what it's about.

It's Sarah Michelle Gellar playing twins, both of whom have a secret.

We were less than awed by the premiere, but will likely watch at least one more. We're hoping it gets better...

Different genre than what I tend to see that you watch, but did you get into "Parenthood" last season? Premiere was on earlier this week. LOVE this show.

I used to watch Parenthood all the time but then they changed the time so I'm watching Spooks/MI5 on the local PBS channel.

Spooks was a great show - is it still going? Only British shows would change over EVERY single character within 3 seasons.

Well, Harry and Ruth are still there last I checked...although you never know what the season/series premiere could bring...which was apparently...yesterday but I'm in the US so I'll probably have to wait 6-12 months to see it.

It's on its tenth season!

That's Lauren Grahams' show, isn't it? I thought about it, but we had so much TV to watch already, I ended up passing on it.

Castle starts on Monday over there IIRC. Hope it won't be long before it makes its way over here!

Would be nice if stuff aired everywhere together.

New Fall TV

Date: 2011-09-17 03:45 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] brightknightie.livejournal.com
I'm going to try Pan Am (for historical fiction) and both Grimm and Once Upon a Time (for fantasy). I may or may not try Terra Nova (for science fiction); Mondays are much too crowded on TV!

Sunday 09/25 10PM Pan Am (ABC)
Monday 09/26 08PM Terra Nova (Fox)
Sunday 10/02 08PM Once Upon a Time (ABC)
Friday 10/21 09PM Grimm (NBC)

I haven't had a show I could really love for quite a while... unless counting Downton Abbey, but its seasons are too short to get very deeply involved, US-TV-style. (I watch Doctor Who, of course, but that's different. I grew up with it on PBS.) I did adore the first season of the UK Being Human, but the second season kicked me out as hard as the first drew me in. I wanted to love New Amsterdam, but it lasted just an eyeblink, and I'm way past ripping my heart out over cancellations. ~wry~

Seen ads for Pan Am, Terra Nova I'm inclined to watch due to Jon Cassar's involvement. Don't know anything about the last two you mentioned, but will look them up.

Grimm looks interesting and I'm curious about Pan Am

Supernatural, Lost Girl, and Sherlock come to mind.

But nothing new, I take it?

Oh, I've got no idea what NEW shows might be coming up. I listen to what you all have to say and then DL anything with good word of mouth.

For new shows, we're watching Ringer and Terra Nova. We watched the first Ringer, and our teeth hurt a little. But, we'll watch at least one more. Terra Nova is too expensive to fail! :-)

I haven't heard anything good about Terra Nova, but want to at least give it a shot due to Jon Cassar's involvement.

The Secret Circle on the CW has me hooked. It started last Thursday. I'm going to give Ringer a chance to get going. Grimm and Once Upon a time don't start until October, but I'm so excited for them.

I have lots of shows I never heard of to go look up now!

Yes, you do.:)

Hmm... If I can find the time I'd like to try Pan Am, Grimm, and maybe Once Upon a Time, Two Broke Girls, and Terra Nova. Maybe. Depends on how fast I get my homework done. :) And if any of them air during Castle then they're automatically dropped.

I've mentioned a couple in comments, New Girls looks like a good show as well

GRIMM and ONCE UPON A TIME look interesting........to me
GRIMM, like Leverage, is shot here in Portland
And speaking of GRIMM, its producer stated something like 'entirely appropriate given how eerie Portland is"
:P
