ithildin: (Media - Loki)
Getting a lot of hits on the Halloween story over at AO3 (no comments, of course) (comments are becoming the DoDo birds of fandom [snerk])and I suppose that's due to Loki. I don't usually get that many hits that fast on a story. Whether that's the case or not, Loki is taking full credit LOL

Hey, I just finished reading it over there! I left kudos because it's the least you can do as a thank you for the author, and because I'm not good on commenting on individual points. It was much fun reading Loki as a woman. :)

I wish I knew what the dynamics of AO3 v. LJ are as far as who is reading where. I hold out the hope that some of the regular readers here are reading there instead now and just not commenting like they used to. It was very disheartening when I posted the last part of Transformative Variations and got only two comments here on LJ, and this was a story that was averaging 8-10 per part. You pour so much of yourself into a project, and then you just get crickets :) Of course, I decided that everyone who was reading it prior hated the last part. My compromise mental position is that people read it on AO3 instead. And I try to stick to that, unless I'm really down and/or I don't feel well, then it's back to the 'hated it' position. I guess I just miss the interaction of the old days, when you had a relationship with your readers. But times, they are a changing, I know.

Sorry for rambling - blame the pain meds.

Glad you enjoyed Loki :)

No need to apologize, I understand perfectly. No matter how much we may write/paint/create for ourselves, it gives your confidence a boost when you get a comment praising your latest effort.

I'm afraid I've been so busy that I didn't have a chance to read the last several parts. I want to re-read the entire story once all the madness at work dies down so that I can follow the story properly instead of reading bits and pieces. That's no way to read. :(

It is nice to know there are other people on the other side of the screen :)
