ithildin: (Nature - Frosted Holly)
Thinking it's time to delete the SPN folder on the DVR. We watched the first three eps of the season, and now, I have many episodes to watch. Thing is, I don't think I really miss the show. What I saw of the beginning of the season just didn't grab me, and the few spoilers I've come across over the months make me think I will remain ungrabbed. Maybe I'll wait a while longer, till I really need the HD space, or maybe I just need to do the big delete!

Had the same issue with Criminal Minds. After the debacle of last season, I tried really hard, but after just two episodes, I felt like the chemistry was gone and I -- dropped it from the set.

SPN, I've heard from friends who are really into it, seems to be disappointing them this year. But you're probably right, wait till you need the space to see if you want to drop anything.

I know you know I'm already super-critical of the show but I'm still watching this year with more interest than the last three ... but I say you'd be better off dropping it. When I say the episodes are easier to deal with, it's partly because Castiel is gone but it's reverted so much in it's storytelling to season one, it's not even funny. Plus, oh God, the ripping off of films outside of horror for plots. Usage of real life historical figures for stuff, it's rather insulting. I know Sam Colt was ref'd earlier, but that's completely different than what they're doing now. If you need the space, delete it. You're honestly not missing anything.
