Can Hugh Laurie get any more sexy? Damn! I still can't quite grasp that one of my all time favourite Brit actors is on a hit show here. And it's not on after tonight for baseball for god knows how long. A zillion sports channels, and they have to preempt my shows for blasted sports! What's with that?

As for Gilmore Girls...

I'd forgotten just how ticked I was with Lorelie since I hadn't watched any repeats over the summer. I just want to smack her upside the head! But Logan and Rory are just too cute. This season will be interesting with the Palladinos gone.

Yeah, I should probably blame the writers. I'm just sick and tired of her blowing up her life and of Christopher -- or I'm sick of the PTBs doing it. Not to mention, I was totally not a Luke/Lorelie supporter, but they convinced me, they made me care, and I figured after all the failed relationships, they had to make one work. I feel like Charlie Brown and the football [g] I still miss Max! And I really care about Lorelie, so that's probably why I'm so annoyed right now :)

As much as I adore the writing for this show, my affection is superficial. I can't care about these people because they're so manipulated and jerked around by the writers.

I only started watching the show this year, and I ate it up. I got season 1 from Netflix, but was disappointed that nothing seemed to have advanced since then. If they were setting up Luke and Lorelei that early, it took five years to get them together? I mean, things happen, but the characters seem to remain the same. I'm not really complaining, because I do love to watch, episode by episode, but I don't care much about plotlines any more.

I've watched from season one, and it's a show I love, though not so much the last couple years out of frustration. Now, from my perspective, other than that first season, they really didn't seem like they were aiming for Luke and Lorelie to be a couple -- or maybe I was in denial? (Though when I go back and watch S1 on DVD, it'seems quite different from where the show started going -- and continued to go -- in S2) So when they did start moving in that direction, I was not happy. And when I finally accepted it, and could "see" them as a couple, I remember telling my roommate that they better not pull the rug out from under us again. They did it with Max, they did it with Digger, just no more! But, BOOM! Argh! So I'm at a love/hate stage, I guess. I know other long term fans who just stopped watching last year, they were so fed up. I'm not at that point, but sometimes, I want to throw things at the screen :)

Sorry, that was all way more than you probably wanted to know, but GG is usually a show that will get me going [g]
