Mum's making currant tarts, another batch of Nanaimo Bars (since I only got one piece of the last), and another mincemeat cake (the neighbours got the first one).

And what goes into a Nanaimo Bar? 'Cause it must be delicious if the batch goes that fast.

I'm trying to work up the energy to make more gingerbread for tomorrow's party.

oh my. nanaimo bars. once every 5 or 10 years we'd make a batch, in a 9x9 pan...and I could eat a piece about an inch or so square. SOO rich.

In related news, I made 2 batches of butter tarts for Christmas - still haven't tracked down my mom's recipe for the filling - neither of the internet ones I found were *quite* right, although one was definitely closer than the other - and I'm pretty sure my mom's recipe involved corn syrup and vinegar. Since I didn't have any corn syrup, I stuck to fillings without, which limited my options.

I wish I could find frozen tart shells though - have yet to find any in this country!
