Isn't he adorable? My fellow office manager in our Idaho office does pug rescue, and we've talked over the last few years about how much I want a pug. Might be that one day has arrived! It may not happen, but in the meantime....



When I was a toddler, I used to climb into my great aunt and uncle's pug's bed and sleep with her. I've had a life long love of the breed.

I'm pretty much an equal opportunity breed lover. I almost brought home a Border Collie puppy this autumn, then there was the Weimaraner in Phoenix, and the.... LOL

I have to be slightly practical. We live in Brooklyn, and I have to drive to the nearest park. We're on the ground floor, but there is a six step stoop to get to the sidewalk.

So I have to be able to carry an elderly dog up six steps, which is dicey with a bad knee and a bad ankle.

But I miss my puppies. And I'm starting to think dog thoughts, but one of the two new cats seems to have taken to me, and I'm afraid of hurting her feelings.

Yeah, I can't really see having a big dog again - but doesn't mean I don't wish I could bring them all home LOL

I think, from the ones I've met, that I'd love a rescued greyhound, but they live such short lives--and I don't think I could give them enough exercise.
