Parade of Homes started this weekend! The last two years, we've been out of town one weekend of it, and had to do all the houses in two days. This year, we have both weekends to see all 28. So yesterday, at a leisurely pace, we managed 10 Parade homes, plus 3 adjacent open houses. And that included two of the most distant ones, that are clear the opposite side of St George from us and up into the mountains to Dammeron Valley. The views up there are spectacular! It's raining today, so how many we see will depend on the weather. Nin's been taking detailed pics this year, so we can remember the things we like whenever/if we have the money to do the remodeling that needs doing on the house.

The Parade of Homes here is huge, with hundreds of houses, condos and Town-homes. We used to go every year for the Spring and the Fall but the new paint smell and the formaldehyde in the carpeting started making me sick so we stopped going. We would always go to the really expensive homes, $1,000,000+, but the last time we went we noticed that even they were all starting to look the same and it wasn't as much fun anymore. Although we do still get the booklets and check to see if there is anything that sounds 'different'. If we ever find one we'll probably go again. :)

EDIT:
