I get to go to my very first caucus tomorrow! Yes, I know, I'm strange. But I admit it, I'm a political junkie, and these sorts of things make me squeeful. As far as I can tell, in Utah, everything other than the Presidential is done via caucus. So at the end of June, I'll also have to turn out for the Presidential primary. But tomorrow, delegates are picked to represent the candidate you choose at the county and state conventions. Or I think that's the deal. Am going to reread the explanatory websites again. [livejournal.com profile] ninjababe and I are really looking forward to it. Should be fun!

As informed as I am about politics, I'm impressed with anyone with the energy to go at it full force. I find just keeping up with the news emotionally exhausting. I actually had to take a break from it because I was going insane.

I think it will be a good way to meet people in my town. I work two cities over, so don't really know anyone locally.

Why does that make you strange??
I don't feel being up on current events to be strange or
participating in them . . .
I think that's cool you did that.
PLEASE give us a rundown on your experience

BTW I am a political junkie also....and always have been
I guess that maybe why I don't find it strange you are involved in a caucus happening.
I regret to this day mom and I did not attend a convention
when she had a delegate invite.
What a rush that would have been.

Cool. Then that all the more why you need to take notes and
report your findings to your flist

I think I will. As long as I don't get overwhelmed by shyness :)

Missouri has its caucus on Saturday. I'm not going, mostly because I'm not interested.

Besides, I'm not Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green, or align to any political party. I'm the person the candidates has to convince. I got by record and other criteria, not party alignment.

And politics is too emotionally exhausting...

That's cool, but I'm still going to go enjoy myself :)

I read that as your very first cactus. I wondered what politics had to do with desert vegetation.
