For those of you familiar with the comics, a question. Even though I'm not sure it matters in the grand scheme, but like I said, details [g] In the Marvel world, does Earth have the same Norse mythology that we do? *Nods.* One of the reasons I've never bothered to see the Thor movie or the Avengers one is that I heard they made the gods aliens in the film-verse rather than, you know, gods as they are in the comic books. I read the Thor book for a while because of there having been a crossover between it and the X-titles I was reading. One of my favorite X-characters has been a Valkyrie, and Storm was the Goddess of Thunder at one time.

From what I understand, Earth has the same mythology, but it is regarded by the Aesir as corrupted tales passed on from generation to generation of humans after the Aesir stopped visiting them. I think they consider themselves gods, but they appear to have their own gods, whom they call Those Who Sit Above in Shadow, and who seem to cause the repeated cycle of Ragnarok, because they lived off its energy.
