We were going to go see Snow White & the Huntsman at the faux IMAX up at Zion tonight, bit forgot it's my mum's birthday, and she works till 8pm - which is when the movie starts. The theater does the usual nature films in the day, and at night, they have one second run showing of a movie on alternate nights for a week. SWH got missed in the general Avengers rush, and I thought we'd get that at least on the big screen, since it looked stunning in the adverts I saw. We did manage to go see Brave, but if we see anything before the Hobbit, I'd be surprised. Oh, wait that Jeremy Renner Bourne movie is coming out. Okay, definitely going to try and see that! I probably need to look at one of those coming soon lists and see if there was anything we'd been looking forward to. My memory sucks sometimes.
Later: Oh, the new James Bond is this winter!

My Mom's High School "gang" was in town for (yet another, every 6 months) reunion. This year is 66 years since graduation.

Date: 2012-07-24 04:38 am (UTC)From:And yes, we have Renner's Bourne movie. Must support our Hawkeye! It's a really busy year for movies.
For me, there's Resident Evil and Expendables in Sept. Then there's Frankenweenie, Taken 2, Alex Cross (maybe) and Silent Hill:Revelation in October, Skyfall in Nov and then The Hobbit for a holiday treat. And somewhere in there I believe there's Anna Karenina and a Wuthering Heights movie (I love that book).
And next year's just as fast. We get another Renner movie in January (Hansel and Gretel Witchhunters). There's Iron Man 3 and the Star Trek sequel (I have grown into this reboot) in May, World War Z in June, The Wolverine in July, Red 2 in August, Ender's Game and Thor in November and back to The Hobbit again in December.
And 2014 is looking just as busy. We get Captain Aamerica and the beauty of the Winter Soldier plot in April, and then another Spiderman in May. Sequels to How to Train Your Dragon and Transformers in June. Another XMen in July. And so on.
I need to buy my own movie theatre. Or get a job for a film company to get comp tickets.
