Yowza!

Okay, best episode so far, by far. And one of the best takes on the Fae I've come across in a while. Creepy, scary, weepy, it had it all. And Jack and Estelle [sniff]

Though, two questions: why didn't they kill Jack in 1909? And why did they only trash Gwen's apartment and not the other team members?

And speaking of faeries, did you know that if you drink tea made with thyme, you're supposed to be able to see the fairies at the bottom of the garden? I've always wanted to test that out.

Now I'm caught up!

I hear if you do a lot of drugs you're supposed to be able to see fairies anywhere! :D?

Don't mock the faeries!

(nice icon!) (speaking of faeries -- at least green ones)

I am glad you finally liked an episode!

I don't think the Faerie could kill Jack - he is immortal now remember.

Jack and Estelle were so darling together!

But was he immortal in 1909? And they didn't even try then, but tried in the present day. That's what I was wondering about.

I liked episode four too :)

Here is my Jack chronology theory after he get left behind in POTW on the Gamestation:

He somehow travels back in time through the Rift - but travelling in the Rift isn't as acurate as lets say travelling in the TARDIS, so he ends up way before 21 century - maybe as early as the 19th century, so Lahore, India, meeting Estelle, etc. are all post Gamestation - post him being made sort of immortal there.

That's my theory, too! He could've either been just normal Jack, before the war and before the Time Agents, then, or he could've already been immortal Jack.

Mmm, Immortal Jack. *mind invents Highlander crossovers*

Methos/Jack meeting would rule...

Can Estelle and Duncan's girlfriend the photographer be buddies?

They'll only be a 30min drive apart in a couple of weeks :)

PW's even on Holby's teasers (http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/holbycity/teasers/) page now.

jinxed wood wrote some Methos, Jack fics a few months back that were very enjoyable. They aren't Methos/Jack, though there is a kiss [g]

Glad you liked it :)

Not sure why they trashed Gwen's apartment? but think that people are right when they say Jack was/is immortal when they don't kill him in 1909.

Next weeks looks even scarier!

Presumably they trashed Gwen's place because they knew she wanted to stop them, but why her flat rather than anyone else's - or Torchwood for that matter? Probably because they weren't using the set for anything else *cynical*

I don't understand why they did even try to kill Jack in 1909. I agree that he muct have been immortal by then, but they certainly had a go at him in 2006. That earlier attack was over very quickly though - maybe they did kill him and he missed the choking noises because he was dead too? A weird theory, but the only one I can think of despite the lack of petals down his front. The first thing he noticed when they came out of the dark tunnel was his dead soldiers, so he might not have checked his own condition.

On a random note, [livejournal.com profile] torch_wood is a pretty good comm and most people know how to cut for spoilers :)

The way the flashback seemed to me was that everyone was attacked except Jack. Could have just been the way I interpreted it though. So I found it interesting they wouldn't attack him then, but did this time.

I was on that comm for quite a while and just left last week. Too many posts that I couldn't read to avoid spoilers :)

why didn't they kill Jack in 1909?

From the way Jack described it, I got the impression that he was not part of the group that ran over the child. Since he wasn't involved in the death of the Chosen One, the fae passed him over.

And why did they only trash Gwen's apartment and not the other team members?

My guess is because the fae noticed Gwen meeting with Estelle. The others weren't part of that.
