How freakin' wonderful was this episode? I'm still thrilled this morning -- it even beat out House last night for maximum joy and overall squee. And that's hard to do!

The pinstripe suit! I adore me some pinstripes.

The interaction between Methos Dan and Abra. How sad does it make me Abra's gone now? Such great chemistry.

The last bit in the bar, with the cigar smoke. That needs icons! Stay tuned.

Sam and the Servelan line! I'm in love.

Gah! Someone buy Joseph a freakin' clue! Generally, he seems like a nice enough guy, but how dim can you be? (that whole baby bird motion he makes all the time is very distracting)He deserves what he gets with Jac if he doesn't wise up.

Connie, I love Connie. When, oh when, will her and Dan meet up?

Dan's still calling Jaq 'Olive' [snicker] I'm not sure Joseph quite knew what to make of their interaction in the OR.

So does this mean Dan's fulfilled his end of the deal?

Peter is just so great in this part. He really is. He seems to be having so much fun. And we get a whole year!

I hadn't heard anything about this until you mentioned it. PW is like chocolate--any is good.

Well, this will be fun to look forward to...

I think Jaq has bitten off more than she can chew here. And I think Joe should defnitely pick Martha over her.

Yeah, at least she cares about him, not his name/family. Even with the age difference.

The kiss! Don't forget about the kiss.

Yes, the kiss! By that point I was just gleefully... something or other [g] I was sitting here, by myself, way past my bedtime acting like the teenager I never got to be when I was one. Does that make sense? I was quite silly overall in watching this ep.

The whole thing, from the first grin on Dan's face when he saw the nurse and Abra together and KNEW he had them. To the end, when Abra decides to grab for the ring and do what Dan says.

He's a master manipulator in this one, too. Sexy and with this nasty little stiletto he uses with such skill. Jaq really never knew he was sticking it in until she felt it. And he was needling her all the way through it. I wish I could like Jaq, but I just can't. And I hate myself for watching her fumble to try and fight back and realize she's a plowboy pulling on a first-class gunslinger.

It is similar to Methos. It's figuring out the puzzle and dissecting the corpse just so he can see how it works. But he doesn't really like the bloody ending bit. He'd prefer chess to polo. You've got a better chance of watching someone get killed in polo.

And damn it, I missed when he first started calling her Olive. And why?

He's called her olive from Day One. After Olive Oyl from Popeye, because she's so skinny. Now, normally, have issues with being twitted over being thin, but in her case [weg] Plus he's just so damn cute when he does it.

Ah. Well, never having been that thin since I hit puberty... Interesting. Wonder if that means he likes thin or he knows it's going to irritate her, or if he prefers his women a little less supermodel?

He's definitely someone who figures out exactly what's going to get under someone's skin and is not at all shy about using it. He rather enjoys making the frog jump, I think.

There was a point in my life where I was getting ready to assault the next person who assumed I had an eating disorder. I eat more than most two people [g]

I think it's because he likes to get under your skin. He makes similar comments to Lola, except on the other end of the scale [g]

I think it's a control thing. When he figures out your buttons, when he knows what makes you tick, he can control you. It's an interesting character trait, when you connect it to him leaving women once he's got them completely hooked. As if he doesn't want them to know him the way he knows them.

An interesting character indeed. I hope they want him for more than one year and he wants to stay.

Got the ep down finally (Thank You!), and "squee!"d most of the way through.

As, I think, one of the US's last surviving "Blakes 7" fans, the Servalan comment had me rolling on the floor (partially because I've been referring to Connie as such since I started watching).

The more I watch her, the more I despise Jac. Her entire manipulative nature makes my skin crawl. Dan's manipulations are sophisticated, elegant, and damn near fun. Jac's are poorly executed, catty, and almost malicious. I really hate women like her.

And I want to shove a feeding tube down her throat & forcefeed her pasties until her joints are no longer sharp enough to cut glass. Slender but healthy looking women don't so much bother me, but women so thin they look they're fresh out of the concentration camp drive me up the wall.

And yeah, if Joseph doesn't let a clue sink in soon, he'll fully deserve what he gets from her.

And, of course, I adore Dan more and more with every episode. And not just because it's Peter (though that's a good enough reason in itself). His individual chemistry with each character is completely irresistible. Though, the personality is totally Methos (which in my opinion, is a good thing, especially since he's obviously enjoying playing it that way so much). I giggled that he put the "live to fight another day" line in again...he's so enjoying pulling us all along in the Dan=Methos fantasy.

I'm going to miss Abra. I'm pretty sure Dan's going to miss him too. What's poor Kyla going to do now? Probably blame Dan, rather than realize Dan did all he could to save Abra the only way he was able.

Totally can't wait for the next ep.
