Fic MO

I posted the first bit of the Halloween fic I'm doing last night over at all_night_owl. It was kind of nice getting that sort of feedback early on in a story, and I realized I kind of miss it. When I first started writing fanfic, I'd write while I was on IRC, and paste parts into the channel for people to read and comment. Now days, I pretty much write my fic in solitary mode until a beta reader first sees it. Unless I make ninjababe read it part way through, but she whines when I do that, so I don't do it with every story [g].

So my question for you writers: what's your writing MO? Do you write in a solitary environment? Do you share the story as you go with friends? A writing group? Something else? This is me being curious.

I am seriously looking forward to the beginning of Grey's Anatomy tonight! Three hours and a bit to go. Need to kill time. [mentally paces] Will also resist reading East Coast spoilers. [runs around room] [comes back] Hopefully, tonight's ep will solidify the fic I'm working on. One can hope. So... [wanders away]

Make icons! To while away the time, I made myself some foody sorts of icons. I'd collected likely pics a few weeks back, and felt I needed some variety for my icon selection :)

I hate that Nin works nights sometimes! I want to talk about tonight's Grey's and she's at work and my brain is whirring and I want to discuss it! Argh! I don't think Sparrow gets the nuances [pets the kitty] [g] I have so gotten sucked into this show. And I never meant to. I also want to write now. But I need to go to bed.

Le sigh, le weep, le boo hoo.
