I have a real love of Orkney and actually got to visit there once (and I've always thought Methos was raised at Skara Brae). One of the best websites for the islands is Orkneyjar. I hadn't been to the website in a while, so was browsing what's new, and came across this article: On earth as it is in heaven - was Orion linked to Orkney's Neolithic heartland?

Fascinating stuff -- and Orion is my favourite constellation!

ithildin: (Methos - Book=Hot)
Before I went to bed last night, I decided to read for a bit. I've been reading Carnage & Culture by Victor Davis Hanson, and while I was Jen's this weekend, she gave me the Tanya Huff Blood Ties books to read. So at her house, I started to read Blood Price. Back home, it was time to pick bedtime reading, so I decided to finish the section of C & C I was reading, then move to Blood Price and read a chapter. Talk about switching gears in mid think! I got through about a page of the Huff book and decided it wasn't going to work! I think I'm going to have to do an every other night schedule or something. Less brain strain that way.
