So I did go to the Home Depot website, figuring that avoiding a trip to the actual store is a good thing. YIKES! Who knew there were so many type of lock/handle combos? So I am going to have to go to the store and hunt down an orange shirt to advise me on what the heck type I should get.

I ended up in Halloweentown.

I got my Secret Santa assignment last night (and if I wasn't feeling intimidated before...!) and as I was falling asleep, I was sorting through possible story ideas. Oh my ever loving goodness. I now have a bunny burning a hole in my brain, and I think it's a really nifty idea -- but not for winter holiday giving. Perfect for Halloween though. I may just have to write the wretched thing and get it out of my system.

I got my Secret Santa assignment last night (and if I wasn't feeling intimidated before...!) and as I was falling asleep, I was sorting through possible story ideas. Oh my ever loving goodness. I now have a bunny burning a hole in my brain, and I think it's a really nifty idea -- but not for winter holiday giving. Perfect for Halloween though. I may just have to write the wretched thing and get it out of my system.

WorldCon in '08 is not over Labour Day as is the practice, but August 6-10 instead. FIVE days! Whee! The website is here, and they do have the installment plan set up, so you have nearly a year to pay for your membership.

Anyone going? I'm really hoping to be able to attend this year. I haven't been to a WorldCon since ConJose [pout] I have costumes I really want to wear again! And it's just a blast to go to a real SF con. I go into withdrawal after a few years of no con going. So fingers crossed!
