B.C.-based U.S. TV series to shut down

A number of U.S. television shows shooting in the Vancouver area are on the brink of shutting down because of the American screenwriters' strike, a move that would throw hundreds of actors and stagehands out of work and deal a major blow to an already struggling industry.

Now the French Door Is In...

I need to save for curtains. Maybe I should ask Santa for Bed, Bath & Beyond gift cards! I'm thinking of this now, because my mum called last night and she and my brother are going to pay for our rental car so we can visit in January. I'd told her we couldn't make it this winter/spring, so she wanted to know if they could do that for our Xmas present. Yes! So now I need curtains so I'm not sleeping in a room with nothing on the windows! There's always the old sheet option however.
