into research mode.

Going to write the story jinxed_wood requested (a sequel to Cock-Eyed Optimist), which means dragging out the novelization of 'First Contact' to refresh my memory of the time line. If I'm plopping Methos and company down in the middle, it helps to recall more details than usually live in my brain.

Then I need to refresh my memory on my own series time line. Yes, I have an Excel spreadsheet for that purpose. What? Doesn't everyone?

Is it odd I own the book but not the movie? Hmmm...

I need a title too.

But before all that, I need to make dinner -- tonight's and tomorrow's!

About that Excel thing...if I could figure it out, I would put together a timeline and who is who in it because I have nine novel length original fics written.

For the Excel thing, I'd like to have done that for my duology and then my universe which has a series of six stories in it so far.

I didn't set mine up till about a year ago, and it took quite a bit of organizing, but I'm glad I did it. And I have to remember to go in and add new stuff, which I just realized I haven't done in while. Oops!

I'm sure it would take a bit of organizing on my part, but Excel just seems beyond my brain function or something.

Oh, I didn't do anything to it, I just opened a plain old worksheet and typed in between the lines :)
