I can't be the only fangirl with this problem, but I seriously cannot watch Peter Wingfield in anything except Highlander. I get horribly, horribly embarrassed, cover my eyes and make humiliating noises. Still. *closes eyes and clicks link*

Ha ha! Sadly, it's mostly independent of him being any good. It's like... the way amnesia fic can set off a person's embarrassment squick. Because I'm watching this and I'm thinking, "No, wrong person." And then I shriek and hide because I obviously got way too invested in that other character if I can't handle the realization that he is, in fact, played by an actor. *headdesk* (Wingfield isn't the only TV actor I can't watch any place else. I'm just special that way.)

That said, I keep meaning to hit you up for an explanation/gossip/pimping about this Holby City thing and who the hell Dan Clifford is.

Well, you are special :)

You can hit me up anytime. He plays a surgeon in Holby City Hospital. He's head of the general surgical department, and he's very snarky. But he's a great doctor, really cares about his patients. When it comes to his staff, he doesn't suffer fools gladly. I just love him! Dan, that is.

And it's not too much of a stretch to imagine him as another persona of Methos. He has this golf bag he always seems to have around, and it would be a great place to keep his sword!

There was something about Holby on BBC Breakfast this morning - they got the guy who plays Sam to come in for a chat - but I was at work by then *phbbbt* I'm not sure if there'll be anything fun to report (courtesy of my trusty record button), but the preview did say he'd be spilling teasers about relationships and newbies :)

Yeah, he said something along the lines of 'I love you, darling, but you're something of a cold fish' LOL! This after telling her that Diane was much better at, I think, patient psychology.
