LOL.. an affinity for purple - that is just a wild guess. For flowers the more colors the better, just the blues, purple, yellow, salmon, clustered together.

When I was at the botanical gardens in Memphis, they had a rose garden, and one of the roses was called Black Magic. It was the most beautiful colour I've ever seen. My brother found it in a rose catalog and is going to plant it in my portion of the garden at the house in Utah, so when I move, I'll have my very own rose bush. He also got me a gorgous Bougainvillea for outside my window.

I love Bougainvilea.. they remind me of my grandparents for some reason.

The second one is close. They're really velvety with a blackish purple tint when the sun hits them. Sort of like a cross between velvet and shot taffeta.

cool.. I know my apt has roses in our garden, I will need to see if any are that dark. Is it a 'new' variety or a pretty established one.. and yes I should google it.. I am a bad google girl.
