I fear I'm never beyond a spoiler. I try not to spoil other people, but I've been burnt by shows before, and I don't want to risk getting involved in one to have the producer/writer/director do something I really hate in a show.

I have managed to get by with never watching the final episode of FK, and so it hasn't been killed for me. I made a terrible mistake of watching the last Enterprise, and I think it is dead for me.

I know, I know -- that's what fanfiction is for. But I need to be able to concieve a future for a series, and some things will stop me dead in the water.

But I won't watch 24 because I distrust Joel Surnow so profoundly that I won't invest the effort of becoming attached to a show he produces.

I need new icons. I'm going to go and prowl your icon posts.

I don't really mind spoilers either, except in certain cases. I'm trying to not read too much about Lost, since I'm going to have to wait till this season comes out on DVD to watch it, for a variety of reasons.

I actually liked the last episode of FK. Yes, I am a small minority [g] Last ep of Enterprise, I don't really remember. Love 24 to pieces. But, I did say I would never watch The Source if I knew a certain character was killed off. Refused outright. So I have my moments.

I know the plot of the last FK, so I know what happened. I just wished that they hadn't felt it necessary to do that to Nick and Natalie, although having LaCroix take the role he did does make sense in his character.

To be able to write in a universe, though, I need a little hook somewhere, some sort of question I can explore. I don't have that in 24, from the stuff I've read (and I read about a lot of shows, I just don't write in all that many of them and don't watch steadily).

I've only ever written in FK and HL. I've never had the urge to write in another fandom.

My own personal take on Last Night was that LaCroix staked Nick to incapacitate him, to save him from himself, and Natalie got a few blood transfusions :)

Actually, that's what I wrote -- this vignette with LaCroix driving out of town with Natalie beside him asleep (recovering) and Nick's ashes in the back in an Egyptian urn (in the process of becoming Nick again). It sounds more confused than it was -- but it was a long time ago that I wrote it.
