The Romans probably did realise that the Celts had a few good ideas and skills - they converted several hillforts into camps of their own, once the siege was done. They might not have been so inclined to acknowledge it though!
The victors write the history after all. I'm sure the show will end up here like his last series did, but till then, I'll have to get the book. Maybe work it into a Methos flashback. Heh.
