Does it make me a totally irredeemable geek that I want this book?

A Gateway To Sindarin: A Grammar of an Elvish Language from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings

Never mind, I think I know the answer.

Oh, and I must have this one too: The Children of Hurin

Don't mind me, I'll just toodle of to Rivendell now.

No way!

Let's compare notes after we read Children of Hurin! :) (Turin Turambar is my favorite Silmarillion story! *geeks out*)

BWAH!! [points to your icon]

See, I knew you'd have my back [g]

Okay, you're on! Though my notes may be along the lines of 'cool, dude!' Heh.

Oh, I want that book too. Though I'm more of a language geek than anything else. *g*

If you already knew the answer, why did you ask? (It's like "Speak friend and enter." kind of a no-brainer)

Unless of course, you're actually in this story, and then, well, you can't be expected to figure it out.

And no, I can't quote the entire series. Quite.

LOL!

I just added it to my own Amazon wishlist :-)

So nice to know that there are many of us in this particular handbasket!

I haven't quite gotten to that stage yet *g* but I am debating the values of Elanor as a name for lil squirmy, should s/he turn out to be a girl.. though I haven't admitted where this idea came from to hubby yet. His spelling isn't good enough to realise that there's usually another "e" in there someplace *cough*

Am trying to be inconspicuously geeky, but have yet to come up with a decent male alternative :)

I have a very old and battered English to Elvish dictionary, so it needs company!

Elanor is a very pretty name. Boys names are a bit harder when looking for a 'normal' sounding name. Unless you're going with Sam [g]

I want them both too. But then I take pride in my geek-hood.

LOL! I was going for something more cerebral, like "This is made of awesome!" *wink*
