We watched Deep Blue Sea last night, which was good, definitely an art film. Tom seemed very young in it. Or his character did, I suppose. The only person I really felt bad for was the husband. Freddie and Hesther just were annoying over the long term.

Today, we went to see the Hawkeye backstory movie aka Bourne Legacy, which also had Rachel Weisz in it! Well, at least she didn't spend all of this movie smoking a cigarette in front of a window. Speaking of smoking, cracked me up at the end of the credits when this disclaimer rolled about how the smoking in the movie was an artistic choice and smoking is bad. Seriously? We just watched a film with violence and death up the wazoo, and it's smoking you're warning us about?!?! Any way, we liked the movie, and Jeremy Renner was quite lovely to look at.

And now, we're watching POTC: On Stranger Tides. Not my favorite of the series, but still enjoy it.

LOL. Not to mention you can see a film with blood and guts up the wazoo and it'll get a PG-13 rating, but add in some nudity, and suddenly it's R!! Um, so let me get this straight, making love is bad, and killing people is A-OK? Wait, what? *shakes head*

The people who assign movie ratings clearly need to overhaul their criteria. YESTERDAY.

For a hilarious minute there I thought you were referring to this Deep Blue Sea (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0149261/), and all I could think was 'Art film? What the-? Arty killer shark movie?' XD

One day I will have to see Deep Blue Sea. I don't remember seeing Tom in it, but I think that's only because I didn't notice him at the time.

And he probably was very young. He isn't all that old even now.

He was the male lead, a movie from last year. Are you thinking of the shark movie of the same title?

...Yes and now I feel thoroughly silly.

LOL! You aren't the first person to think it was the shark movie.
