I've only ever seen that one episode of Torchwood. I've heard Jack is going to run into The Doctor again in this new season of Doctor Who. I think the Doctor should take him back in time again so the Jack's get a chance for romance.

Heh, well I'm old fashioned and don't think of it as slash since it's canon. Just like my Willow/Tara pairing is canon, but Addison/Callie isn't, so that would be slash.

Well no, I don't think so. For me, it's a very real difference. I know that these days, the definitions have totally changed, but here, I can keep my own perspective of what the terms mean.

Of course you can. Here and everywhere else. I'm not arguing the meaning of the word. It's like 'love' and 'success'. It means something different to everyone. I was just putting out a friendly warning from someone who's been on the other side of the conon/fandom line. It's funny how thin it is and how you don't notice you've tripped over it until it's too late. I never used to look at the world through slash-coloured glasses. ;p

Ah, I see. But I've always liked f/f, so I do read slash. And I've read fic with m/m non slash pairings. Plus all the slash I've accidentally read over the years. So I've had exposure :)
