Interests:
Absinthe
I've always been fascinated with absinthe. Haven't tried it yet, but it's on my list of things I want to do before I die :) I have a few absinthe icons, my favourite is probably the one on this post which is from the movie "From Hell". It's Johnny Depp in a bathtub drinking absinthe. I've always mean to try and colour the absinthe green, but have never got around to it.

Connie Dover
One of my favourite singers. If I could recommend one album, it would be "Wishing Well". One of my tips to Scotland, Inverness specifically, there was a wonderful place, which has since closed, that had workshops, and performances, and sold Celtic music. Playing on the sound system that visit was Connie Dover's 'Wishing Well'. I loved it so much! I wanted to buy it, but they were sold out, but the lovely man behind the counter sold me the cassette that was the store copy.We played it in the rental car for most the rest of the trip. I come to find she wasn't even Scottish, but American! Connie has the most amazing voice. I really hope I have the opportunity to see her live someday.

Witch of Blackbird Pond
I first read 'The Witch of Blackbird Pond' when I was in second grade. It was my first inkling that the early days of Colonial America were more than the Pilgrims (because that's all they ever taught us in school). I loved the book, and I loved Kit.

Icons:
Eyes
One of my Royo icons. Royo is one of my favourite artists, though some of it is a little too err.... edgy for me. But the pieces I like, I love :)

Methos - Sin
A movie I really loved when I was a teenager, was 'Same Time Next Year'. There's a scene near the end when Allan Alda's character asks Ellen Burstyn's character what her favourite perfume was, and she replies "My Sin". That line has always stuck with me, and seemed to fit Methos somehow. Considering how much time I spend thinking about him, I suppose he's my sin.

Absinthe BURNS :) But not that much more than Jagermeister.. though it tastes nicer (am not a big licorice fan).

I've only tried it once - NYE 2000/2001, soon after it became legal here again. Rob and I had a shot each, then shared the one that was supposed to be our friend's until he chickened out *lol*

We keep saying we'll buy a bottle and try it the next time we spend the weekend at our friend's place. But so far we haven't.

Absinthe certainly sounds interesting: having looked it up for research. (The things I do to write Highlander...)

The My Sin icon is nicely ambiguous, with his head down and brooding and the rainy tone to the icon.

I have to go back and look up the other icon.

And the things my flist does to my pocketbook...

I think the What's Next was the first Triona icon. (No, I don't have a short attention-span--what was that?)

I will never, ever, ever tire of TWoBP, or of Kit. I was so obsessed with it in fifth grade that I did a puppet show version of it for a class project. :-)
