I have a friend who's a huge S/H fan. I barely remember the show from when I was a kid. I preferred MacMillan and Wife and McCloud. I thought Dennis Weaver was cute even when I was seven [g]
As for friendships, I'm a big fan. I don't think friendship gets enough respect in our culture anymore. It's nice to see I'm not the only one out there.

With apologies for potentially making you feel old, I was four the last year Starsky and Hutch ran. My knowledge of it is almost entirely secondhand from contact with the fandom on the web. x_x

Amen sister! While I've spent time on the slash side some slash still really bothers me because I think making the characters in the relationship gay or bi is bad characterization of the characters individually, and bad characterization of the relationship.
